The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), together with Coaches vs. CancerÆ, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), today announced the inaugural Love College Hoops...Beat Cancer Week, a fan driven initiative created to support the fight against cancer.

College athletics lost a great leader, NCAA President Myles Brand, to cancer in the last year,î said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney. ìAnything we might do to heighten awareness, promote research, and raise funds to fight this dreaded disease is worthwhile.

Cancer is something that has touched almost everyoneís life in some way, and itís never good. Through the years, the American Cancer Society and the NABC, through Coaches vs. CancerÆ, have teamed up to raise millions of dollars in the fight against cancer. The Love College Hoops...Beat Cancer Week campaign will help in that effort while allowing college basketball fans to show support for their teams in this crucial time of the season.
